Client is having the folowing error upon signing a PDF document:

 

 

Solution :  Uninstall Adobe Reader DC 64 bits and install a 32 bit version instead.

 

Here's the recommended procedure to do so :

 

 

Step #1 : Close all Internet Explorer and/or Edge windows first

 

Step #2 :  Uninstall Adobe Acrobat DC64 bits :

 

-In Control Panel, under Programs, click on Programs and Features

- Sélect Adobe Acrobat DC (64 bit) and click "uninstall".

 

 

If you are asked to reboot, proceed with the reboot right away.

 

Step #3 : Install the “entreprise” versionfor Adobe Acrobat DC32

 

You can find your version by clicking the following link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

 

(Do NOT open Adobe Reader right away!)

 

Step #4 : Disable auto-update for Adobe Reader

 

Here's a "batch" file that automates this procedure: : deleteAdobeUpdateService.bat

 

 

 

Open the ZIP above and copy it's content on your desktop (deleteAdobeUpdateService.bat).

 

-          Right-clic on deleteAdobeUpdateService.bat and choose "Run as administrator". »

 

-          Reboot the computer, if required.

-          Next steps would be to configure Adobe, if necessary, and verify all is fine.
